Luxury Rides Wild

Photographer: Bryan Coello

1. What significant life experiences or events have influenced and shaped your artistic vision?

My artistic vision has been shaped by my openness to all creative mediums.

As a New Yorker and art director, I’ve worked on major marketing and advertising campaigns, yet my passion for fine arts led me to create MrCoello during the pandemic, which took me to Art Basel Miami. A trip to Bali sparked my photography journey and shotwithbry emerged, inspired me to connect with creatives worldwide—models, stylists, and fellow artists.

2. Collaboration often sparks fresh creativity. Can you share an example of a collaboration that led to an unexpected and exciting artistic outcome?

Collaboration makes creativity more fun and spontaneous. Most of my photography projects reflect that, especially Luxury Runs Wild with model Sophia and makeup artist Thi—after sharing my vision, we met for the first time on set and created something truly special.

3. Walk us through a specific project that challenged your creative boundaries. How did you approach it, and what did you learn from the experience?

I often push my creative boundaries through personal projects. One memorable challenge was a trip to Norway, where I hiked along fjords and rugged coastlines to capture editorial shots. Despite the tough conditions, we delivered—and had a great time doing it.

4. In the ever-evolving art world, what do you believe sets your work apart and makes it unique or groundbreaking?

What sets my work apart is my versatility. I can be a painter one day, direct a campaign the next, or shoot behind the camera—all driven by an open, curious creative spirit that keeps evolving.

5. As you reflect on your journey, are there any specific goals or milestones you've set for your artistic career in the coming years?

This feature itself is a milestone for me. I want to keep sharing my creativity to inspire others and connect with more artists along the way. It’s all about growing together and keeping the creative energy alive. My next goal is to be part of an agency where my creative photograph and art direction services can be shared for clients around the world.
