1. What driving force motivates you as an artist and keeps you going?
No matter how trite, these are people. Thanks to my occupation, I have the opportunity to communicate with different people, different professions, hobbies, different appearance and inner world.
2. Collaboration can be important for artists. Tell us about your team and how they contribute to your work.
My team is not big, mostly it's me and make-up artist Katerina. We had a connection from the first meeting three years ago and after that we created quite a few memorable projects and received more than one award at international competitions. I also privately collaborate with various stylists and handmade jewelry makers.
3. Can you tell us about your creative process, from the initial idea to the final result?
I'll tell you on the example of shooting with Maxim. Usually people find me themselves through social networks, it was the same with Maxim, we have a small correspondence. The main thing for me is a personal meeting before shooting or a video call, where we get to know each other, find out all the nuances and wishes, after that I propose an idea for discussion. After that, I accompany the person completely on all issues: from clothes to what location and how to get there, I answer any questions.
4. What challenges have you faced in your career so far, and how have you overcome them?
Probably the main problem was the lack of support from the environment for my decision to leave the job and devote myself entirely to photography. Mom wanted me to choose a more stable job, by the way, I am a mechanical engineer by education, my friends considered this occupation not serious. Yes, and I will not say that I had an innate talent, but training in the field of photography, the development of visibility and practice, practice, practice have borne fruit.
5. What led you to choose Mob, and what are your career aspirations in this field?
I chose your magazine for its creative content. One of my very first publications was in your magazine.
Aspirations? Show this world as many beautiful and interesting people as possible. I really believe that every person can be worthy to be on the pages of such cool magazines as yours.
