Load of Blues

1. What significant life experiences or events have influenced and shaped your artistic vision?
Loss and sadness have been major influences on my artistic vision lately. Load of Blues was born from a place of solitude, a reflection of my new reality and the emotions that came with it. I wanted to capture what it feels like to sit with those emotions, to find strength in stillness. The laundromat felt symbolic — a space of cleansing and renewal — and denim became my armor. Even in sadness, I wanted the shoot to feel fierce, because there’s power in embracing your emotions and transforming them into art.
2. Collaboration often sparks fresh creativity. Can you share an example of a collaboration that led to an unexpected and exciting artistic outcome?
Earlier this spring, I hosted a model mixer and headshot happy hour called Flourish and Frame. The turnout was smaller than I expected, but honestly, it ended up being such a blessing. The vibe was super intimate, everyone connected, shared ideas, and just flowed creatively. We captured some stunning headshots and unexpected content that I’m still proud of. It reminded me that magic doesn’t need a crowd, just the right energy and intention.
3. Walk us through a specific project that challenged your creative boundaries. How did you approach it, and what did you learn from the experience?
I was working with a model as a creative director on an editorial concept, but she didn’t have the full budget. We tried to make it work, but in the end, the shoot didn’t happen because she wasn’t happy with her options. It was disappointing, but I took it as a learning moment. Not every idea comes to life, and that’s okay. This experience taught me to stay flexible and make sure everyone feels aligned with the vision from the start.
4. In the ever-evolving art world, what do you believe sets your work apart and makes it unique or groundbreaking?
What makes my work stand out is the storytelling behind it. I don’t just show up and model — most of my shoot concepts come from my own life and experiences. Every idea starts with something I’ve felt or gone through, and I use that to shape the mood and direction. It makes the work more personal and real, like I’m telling a story through each image.
5. As you reflect on your journey, are there any specific goals or milestones you've set for your artistic career in the coming years?
One of my biggest goals is to be the face of a major campaign — something that really aligns with my story and style. I also dream of having one of my portraits displayed in a museum one day. That would be such a full-circle moment for me, seeing my work and creative vision recognized on that level.

Load of Blues tells a story of emotion, resilience, and style. In a laundromat filled with cycles of change, blue denim becomes both armor and expression — a wearable metaphor for cleansing the weight of the blues.
