1. What significant life experiences or events have influenced and shaped your artistic vision?
Anika has picked up her parents' camera at only three years old and has never stopped taking photos since. Photography has been her escape from the world for a long time and she has turned that interest into her profession. Anika is very much inspired by the humans she meets, but also by music, emotion, stories and the natural world.
Marie has experimented with a lot of creative mediums since her childhood, like painting, textile arts, fashion, jewellery etc and finally found a creative outlet in working with make up in her adult years. Still, all of those years of experimentation influence her style, as well as keeping an eye on the outside world and drawing inspiration from nature, arts, literature and pop culture.
2. Collaboration often sparks fresh creativity. Can you share an example of a collaboration that led to an unexpected and exciting artistic outcome?
An example would be our collaboration itself. Our work together started with client shoots and then led to more artistic projects over the years as we discovered that we share similar views on how we want to create. We inspire each other and learn from each other, which has led to many beautiful projects, surprising outcomes and artistic growth.
3. Walk us through a specific project that challenged your creative boundaries. How did you approach it, and what did you learn from the experience?
A challenge we repeatedly face in our projects are the very limited funds we often have to work with, especially in our more artistic projects. We had to be creative and find solutions to be able to make our vision come to life. This way we learned to build something from almost nothing and sometimes this opened up paths for us that we wouldn't have found otherwise.
4. In the ever-evolving art world, what do you believe sets your work apart and makes it unique or groundbreaking?
In our collaborative work we our focus on building a creative safer space, an atmosphere where our subjects and ourselves can feel at ease. This allows us to capture authentic and intimate moments of self expression with our models or subjects. Additionally, it's important to us that everyone on the team gets the space to realise their creative perspective which then leads to a unique visual language that we develop in close teamwork. This authenticity and our strong sense of community and creative collaboration in a calm safe shooting environment sets our work apart and makes it compelling.
5. As you reflect on your journey, are there any specific goals or milestones you've set for your artistic career in the coming years?
We want to keep pushing creative boundaries while staying true to ourselves and our vision, while taking care of ourselves and continuing to advocate for fair payment and respectful working conditions in a safe creative environment where everyone is equally valued for their input.

Between shimmer and shadow, a dialogue of strength and fragility emerges. Colors like liquid metal coat skin and contours, shaping fragile sculptures of light. This series is a visual meditation on transformation, intimacy, and the quiet intensity of beauty.
