Woods of Buenos Aires

1. What significant life experiences or events have influenced and shaped your artistic vision?
I grew up with a mother who is a graphic designer and art director. She worked for a long time at a well-known makeup brand. Since I was a child, I accompanied her to photo shoots, and from that moment, I knew I wanted to pursue something artistic—or at least I played around with the idea of what I wanted to be when I grew up. Later on, I studied Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA - FADU), where I realized that my artistic perspective had a place in the world of design. I wasn't sure yet that photography would be the way, as I was still hesitant to step outside of my comfort zone. Over time, I learned to develop my own perspective and to learn from the influences around me. I carried these lessons into photography, and I knew I had found my space.
2. Collaboration often sparks fresh creativity. Can you share an example of a collaboration that led to an unexpected and exciting artistic outcome?
I feel that this shoot, "Woods of Buenos Aires," turned out to be a very surprising result for me. Currently, I’m working on my first personal projects as an Art Director. While this isn't my first experience in art direction, it was very special because I collaborated with a group of people I admire, and I stepped out of my comfort zone by working with flash outdoors. The outcome truly reflects teamwork, and I am very satisfied with that.
3. Walk us through a specific project that challenged your creative boundaries. How did you approach it, and what did you learn from the experience?
A few years ago, I was invited to cover a fashion brand during Buenos Aires Fashion Week. I was very apprehensive due to my inexperience and also because of the environment I would find myself in. We know such events can be stressful and somewhat hostile. Nevertheless, that experience not only gave me results I was happy with but also helped me understand what areas I needed to improve. It made me realize what I didn’t want to do as a photographer. Since then, I've explored various photographic fields, such as gastronomy and photojournalism, until I returned to fashion—this time from a different perspective: art direction.
4. In the ever-evolving art world, what do you believe sets your work apart and makes it unique or groundbreaking?
I don’t know if this makes me stand out from others, but I love to play with color in my photos, much like Marcos Lopez or David LaChapelle. I am also driven by a desire to capture emotions—love, friendship, sadness, happiness. My goal is always to evoke a response from the viewer.
5. As you reflect on your journey, are there any specific goals or milestones you've set for your artistic career in the coming years?
My biggest dream is for photography to take me to explore new landscapes, meet new people, visit different cities and cultures. Traveling as a photographer and art director is a goal I wholeheartedly pursue. The fact that my work is recognized or that people want me to capture a moment through my lens is already a success for me.
