Take a seat

1. What significant life experiences or events have influenced and shaped your artistic vision?
To be honest, I'm still figuring that out. I've only been shooting for two years, and right now, I'm constantly absorbing everything around me - from the environments I work in to the knowledge and energy of the incredible people I collaborate with. Every experience, big or small, contributes to shaping how I see and create.
2. Collaboration often sparks fresh creativity. Can you share an example of a collaboration that led to an unexpected and exciting artistic outcome?
It's hard to single out just one - collaboration is what I love most about this industry. The beauty of it is that a simple idea evolves multiple times, whether during planning or even on the day of the shoot. Sometimes we take a completely unexpected tangent, and it just clicks. That kind of creative spontaneity is what keeps me inspired.
3. Walk us through a specific project that challenged your creative boundaries. How did you approach it, and what did you learn from the experience?
To be honest, every project pushes me creatively. I often wrestle with imposter syndrome, which makes the process feel daunting at times. But I've learned to lean on the mentors and creative minds around me - talking things through, staying open, and reminding myself to just keep proving myself wrong. That mindset has helped me keep growing.
4. In the ever-evolving art world, what do you believe sets your work apart and makes it unique or groundbreaking?
I wouldn't call my work unique or groundbreaking - not yet, at least. I'm still finding myself through my work. Right now, I'm focused on exploring, learning, and growing. I'm excited to see how the next five years shape my creative voice, and maybe then I'll be able to answer that with more certainty.
5. As you reflect on your journey, are there any specific goals or milestones you've set for your artistic career in the coming years?
My biggest goal is to keep learning and developing as an artist. I want to build a strong, supportive creative community around me and keep working with people who inspire me. If I can do that while making work I'm proud of, I'll be right where I need to be.
