  Skates, Costumes, and a Reunion with the Past

  Years ago, Carina shined on artistic roller skating rinks, traveling the world for international competitions. After moving to the south of Argentina, her journey with skating was put on hold—until a few months ago, when her mother sent her a package filled with her old skates and gymnastics costumes. Reconnecting with these objects sparked the idea for this photo series at the skate park of San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. Surrounded by friends, sunshine, and laughter, we created fictional characters that empower and entertain us, blending past and present in a playful exploration of identity and movement.
