Elvira: Where Heritage Dances in Silk

Elvira is a womenswear collection rooted in Colombian heritage, memory, and movement. Named after my grandmother, Rosa Elvira, the collection is a tribute to the women who shaped my identity — past, present, and future. Drawing inspiration from Colombian folkloric dances such as Cumbia and Bambuco, the designs translate rhythm into silhouette, celebrating femininity through volume, ruffles, fluid tailoring, and ornate surface details.

Influenced by Colombia’s African, Indigenous, and Spanish cultural intersections, the collection embraces flamboyance, colour, and craftsmanship. Luxurious fabrics, sculptural constructions, and romantic proportions echo traditional costumes while reinterpreting them through a contemporary lens. Floral elements reference Colombia’s flora, while movement-led pattern cutting reflects the body in motion — dancing, living, resisting.

Elvira is not nostalgia; it is legacy reimagined. A celebration of cultural pride, matriarchal strength, and Latin identity expressed through modern womenswear.
