This is an exploration of how imperfection, asymmetry, and unevenness can still evoke a sense of wonder, meaning, and emotional truth. While balance is often seen as ideal symbolizing harmony, control, or perfection imbalance reveals the real, the raw, and the unexpected.
In this series, we challenge the traditional idea that beauty must come from symmetry or order. Instead, I highlight moments where beauty emerges from contrast, disruption, or unevenly stacked water drums even. The editorial’s visuals challenge expectations with layered symbolism: a model clutching stacked water drums evokes endurance and scarcity, while another, holding a guitar and full-length mirror, reflects on identity and self-perception. Meanwhile, a model lifting dumbbells with a cigarette in hand blurs the line between discipline and defiance, highlighting the contradictions within modern ideals.
